Kinda resurrecting an old thread here, but figured i'd chime in.... My life has been crazy the past 6mo's or so... Partnership went south in my business... moved to a different town 3 hrs away.... started a new career etc.... and then on top of that I think my PSU is causing issues... when i try and fold with just my gpu it runs fine until things start heating up and my freezone starts really pumping... then the computer just shuts off....

I'm looking to upgrade my psu sometime in the near future and would like to pick up folding again... my apologies to the team!

BTW... Good to see everybody again, and good to see that BBF is back in the picture, hope everything is getting a little more settled for ya'!

Sorry to hear about your buisness and PSU problems, good luck with the new career and I'm sure that pesky PSU will soon be rediding at the local dump, lol.

Things for me have settled down a little, got my own place now but still looking for gainful employment, somethings bound to come along sooner or later.

Good to be back folding again, 4 months was a long time away, looking forward to seeing your scores rocket again, it's sure to give us all someting to aim at.

As for '09 woe's,,,,,i/we hit the big three this year.
1. back surgery-artificial disc put in
2. wife get's cancer!
3. then as if the back wasn't good enough i had to throw in double hernia surgery!!!!!!

i am really looking forward to this year ending and 2010 being filled with nothing dramatic!

Yeah, i'm starting to plan things now.. only trouble is my 'might as well' philosophy is kicking in.... eg. "Might as well" get a > = 1000w PSU since i'm cooking up some ideas to fill out my Lian Li case a little better... hmmm... decisions, decisions... lol

BBF, you are back into folding I did not fold as much as I did with my TRI-SLI GTX 285. I am folding now with single GTX 260. It run very cool at 700MHz core clock.

Yep finally managed to get back into it. Now using a single GTX285 and just the one cpu client, seems to be working very well.
