Ahh, I think you are right. I just noticed these 2 on the bottom of the list:
1 421-0974 CYBERLINK PDVD 8.0 ANW 1 421-0975 NERO 9, ANW
I am guessing they are for the bluray/dvd playback.
Thanks buddy.

No problem! The Cyberlink stuff is all you should need. Make sure its completely updated before wathcing a movie. Some versions of the Cyberlink software cause some system instability.
I am also willing to bet the Nero 9 stuff might a trial or very watered down version. Unless its an "added bonus". You probably won't even need to install it because there are so many better burning software that is also free.

Update - So as usual with Dell, my order has been delayed to be shipped out on February 19th now instead of this week. I tried calling Dell, to ask them if I could upgrade anything on the order (which I would pay for), to expedite the ship time, but they do not know which part is delaying the order. On top of that, if I did upgrade anything, they said it would push my system to the back of the line, so there would be no point. They said it could be shipped out earlier if everything goes smooth, but I doubt that. So, I plan to wait 2 weeks now to get it. Just thought I'd keep you guys updated.

Sorry to hear about the delays on your new build. That doesn't really surprise me. I had the same thing happen to me when they replaced my 730 with the 730x. But luck would have it I received the 730x earlier then planned. I would probably say the delay if there is my be the ATI 5870's. I know they have been having some issue with the Cards not working correctly with certain types of MOBO. Will I hope Dell gets this fixed so I can take those 5870 off your hands.

Yea I dont know what the issue is. They keep telling me it was because of the "harsh winter," but I dont really know. I just want to have a working desktop again. I have dumped a lot of money in this which I really shouldn't have, and I just hope it was worth it in the end.

bagzer wrote: i wish my 630i was still under warrenty i'd break it on purpose to get that set up Haha. Well, it has its ups and downs. I have been without a functional desktop since Jan 19, so its almost been a month, and it will be by the time my system gets delivered. LOL. I was actually quite happy with my system. It just refused to function properly, and Dell refused to replace parts in it anymore, since they tried to fix it too many times. LOL You could still buy warranty for your 630i, you just might have to pay the warranty reinstatement fee (i think its $49). And maybe sometime down the road, somehow it will break. Usually, their policy is that if they try to fix the same problem 3 times or more, they declare it a lemon, and replace the system with a current system that is being sold and shipped. They will also replace the PC if they dont manufacture parts for it anymore. In your case, I wouldnt know what they would replace it with. I have seen some people on other forums end up with a Studio XPS (which isnt bad either, still has an i7), or an Alienware Aurora. I still dont know how this system is going be. From what I read, its supposed to be a solid system. But I also see users with problems with the lighting and chassis controls. So I will have to wait and see.

Nothing yet. As far as I see on the Order Page and the emails from Dell on the Status of the system, it might be delayed again til Feb. 24th. I dont understand why it is taking soooo long.
Im dying here.......LOL.
They are now telling me that it usually takes 15-21 Business Days from when they started to build it, which was Feb. 3rd. So it most likely will be shipped out next Wednesday now. From their info, the last day it can be shipped is Mar. 4th, but I really hope it doesnt take that long.

Wow Dell is really good at dragging their feet, it shouldn't take that long IMO You should ask for a refund and build a custom rig.....I bet it wouldn't take you two months to complete it It took me about 8 hours to build my 1st pc, and I was a noob at building computers....still am kind off My thoughts.
