So I just got Metro 2033, and I gotta say, the graphics are just STUNNING in this game. I have not seen a game with better graphics yet. Supports DX9, DX10, and DX11.

But this game really needs a lot of horsepower. To give you an idea of what you would be looking at......I can barely break 40FPS with my system with all settings maxxed in DX11 with 1920x1200 resolution, AAA (Analytical Anti Aliasing) and AF turned all the way up. And this is with 2 HD 5870's and a Core i7 975. Can you believe this? LOL. I have to play at 1680x1050 if I want all the eye candy turned on to get smooth playable FPS.

Then again, the game is Nvidia based. But I dont think that would affect performance that much.

Anybody else playing this or thinking about getting it?

Here's Game Informer's review. L@@ks exciting but :wtf: a low replay value  not sure if I'm going to drop $50 on this so quickly. I need to read more reviews before I drop the cash

After a week or so, let me hear your verdict of what you think ;)

I can agree on the replay value, probably wont play it as much after the first time.

But it is definitely a game to grab and see the stunning graphics of DirectX 11. The story is actually pretty good too. I just wish they added a multiplayer to it.

I passed on this one, got Battlefield Bad Company 2 instead and Im in heaven :D :D . I try to only buy games that I can play more than once and not get bored of them. Metro 2033 looks that way. No multiplayer kinda takes from the replay value. But if its a good singleplayer game I will wait till its $19.99 or less on Steam before I scoop it up. Apparently their isnt much difference between DX 10 and DX 11 on this game. when you change DX 11 to 10 it still looks the same but it hurts the FPS something fierce with DX 11 enabled :? ? This is what I hear anyway.
